Information for Facilities
Our FP has been working with hospitals and outpatient surgery centers for over 15 years to provide the highest quality of care possible to persons who have been injured in third-party accidents and who don't have the funds or health insurance to pay for their medical treatment.
Information for Attorneys
Our FP is specifically organized to assist the attorneys and their personal injury victims, and facilitate the surgical treatment necessary for their optimum recovery.
Medical Financing
You get personal injury patients all the time but by working with The Physician’s Rx and its Financial Partners (FP) you will be paid for the care you provide them. You, the physician, now have a rare opportunity to increase your revenue substantially, often by the very patients you once turned away for their inability to pay for their services.
Our FP has been assisting persons for years who have been injured in third-party accidents and don’t have health insurance or the financial means to pay for needed healthcare services or surgery. The patient’s only recourse for the payment of these services is the lien(s)/Letter of Protection(s) process. Our FP is a factoring company that assists and arranges for surgeries and other healthcare services on a lien(s)/Letter of Protection(s) basis. Hospitals and outpatient surgery centers contracted with our FP are reimbursed at rates that are agreed to after arms length negotiations.
Prior to being contacted by an attorney on behalf of their client, our FP, has already pre-qualified the client and agreed to accept the case. This takes much of the risk out of the case, and saves the physician’s office staff from doing the background work. When the patient shows up for their first office visit they are now a qualified patient!
Physicians who choose to see our FP qualified patients hold their own lien(s)/Letter of Protection(s). Our FP does not contract with physicians for their services. Physicians can expect to receive reimbursement for their services that are in the 55% to 100% of billed charges. Physicians receive their reimbursement when the patient’s case is settled and funds are distributed.
Our FP works closely with you and your office staff, contracted hospitals and outpatient surgery centers to ensure that the physician and the qualified patient experience a smooth process from the first office visit, to hospital admission and through the settlement of the case.
Our FP purchase accounts receivables (“Purchased Receivables”) in two ways. First, they purchase receivables owed to a hospital for emergency or trauma services to a qualifying patient. Second, they purchase receivables owed for follow-up medical care, surgeries to qualifying patients. Additional to the above mentioned ways, an attorney representing a qualifying patient in a personal injury claim against a third party can contact our FP to purchase through our FP’s AR Program additional elective follow-up care.
Participating patients often do not have health insurance, HMO, PPO, or indemnity. Nor do these participating patients qualify for any state or federal health entitlement programs.
Our FP does not enter into any contract or agreement with a participating patient at any time. The participating patient pays no money, or provides any form of consideration to our FP in connection with their medical care.
Our FP’s only agreements are with hospitals and outpatient surgical centers to purchase receivables for qualifying emergency and trauma services, and follow-up medical care for qualifying patients.
When our FP purchases receivables from a provider, it is now fully and solely responsible for the collection of the purchased receivables from the participating patient. They eliminate much of the risks associated with lien(s)/Letter of Protection(s) for the health care provider ie hospital outpatient surgical center. Once the health care provider, assigns over the participating patients charges, its role in the lien(s)/Letter of Protection(s) process is completed. By contracting with our FP the health care provider does not have to relegate staff and resources to collecting on lien(s)/Letter of Protection(s). Staff is now able to focus on identifying new potential Third Party Liability lien(s)/Letter of Protection(s) that will generate additional new revenue to the provider. Our FP per its contract with the health care provider guarantees payment to the provider within ten (10) days of receipt of provider’s bill.
Our FP charges no fee and no participating patient ever pays for a referral to a health care provider. When the patient or the patient’s attorney does not have a physician, or has a physician who is not authorized to admit the patient to a hospital which participates in the AR Program, our FP will provide to the patient or the patient’s attorney a list of hospitals participating in the AR Program and have the patient select a physician on staff at any of the participating hospitals who is known to accept cases on the lien(s)/Letter of Protection(s). In this way, they will not be recommending any particular hospital to a patient, and is making no recommendation concerning which physician to use. It is the patient’s responsibility to research the qualifications and experience of the providers.
